IKEA teams up with Sonos for a line of furniture-speaker hybrids

The future is now.
IKEA has teamed up with audio brand Sonos as part of its high-tech Home Smart range.
The collaborative SYMFONISK collection features two new products complete with Wi-Fi capabilities. They can be controlled through either the Sonos app or the IKEA Home Smart App.
A bookshelf speaker is designed to either blend into a room or act as a statement piece, with the option to use it as a functional bracket shelf capable of holding up to 3kg.
The second speaker doubles as a table lamp, which gives off a warm, fireplace-inspired glow.
Both products are available in two colourways and will be available for purchase from September 27.
If you’re super curious, however, IKEA Tempe will be holding immersive demonstrations of the new range until August 4.
