And it has a killer lineup.
If I could curate the literary festival of my life, the headliners would be Zadie Smith and Jia Tolentino.
Turns out I don’t have to because the Wheeler Centre just did it for me.
Announcing the debut of their new feminist ideas festival this morning, the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne will host international literary superstars and cultural critics Zadie Smith, Jia Tolentino, Ariel Levy, and Aminatou Sow.
Australian trailblazers like Helen Garner, Courtney Barnett, Nayuka Gorrie, Ruby Hamad, Santilla Chingaipe, Sarah Krasnostein and Fran Kelly will all sit on and moderate panels on a range of topics including capitalism, decolonisation, LGBTQIA+ rights, and the right to take up space.
Broadside will run from November 9-10.
