A Beauty and the Beast high tea actually exists and it looks magical

But of course.

Capitalising on the buzz surrounding the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast is undeniably clever cookie, The Kensingon Hotel.

The London-based hotel has unveiled a pop-up menu at its restaurant, The Town House, inspired by the upcoming film.

Titled Tale as old as Time, the afternoon tea includes a Disney-inspired menu complete with Mrs Potts and Chip Potts dishware.

For £35 per person (or £45 with a glass of champagne) diners can graze an inspired assortment of treats, all based on the film.

There’s Vanilla and Gold Jelly served with a rose petal inside; a Chocolate Clock Tart delivered complete with Cogsworth’s face; and a Spiced Snowball Macaron, inspired by Belle and The Beast’s snowball fight.

But the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly ‘Try the Grey Stuff’, a sweet white chocolate mousse that yes, is presented as grey.

After unveiling Tale as old as Time, reservations for the afternoon tea quickly booked out, causing The Kensingon Hotel to extend the menu’s season. If you happen to be in London in the next few months, you can try your luck with a reservation here. In the meantime, view the full menu here.
