A short list of our favourite makers showcasing at this weekend’s Finders Keepers Market

It’s back.

The Autumn/Winter edition of the Finders Keepers Market is creeping up for Melbourne. Beginning Friday, the three-day event will bring together over 250 independent art and design stalls, all housed in the Royal Exhibition Building. 

It’s time to set a reminder in your phone and formulate a plan of attack. To make things easier, we’ve curated a list of the stalls worth waiting in line for.

Who: Wolf & Mishka
What they do: This Melbourne-based design label delivers handmade and hand-drawn clothing, ceramics, jewellery, homewares and crafts. And it’s all inspired by a family heirloom book of Russian nursery rhymes. 
What you’ll pay: $5 – $200

Who: Togetherness Design
What they do: Esther Sandler’s bold colours and crazy beautiful designs make her textiles and illustrations worthy of your bathroom, living room and every other inch of your home. Key designs include the every day clutch purse and floral greeting cards for you stationery lovers.
What you’ll pay: $5 – $90

Who: shuh.
What they do: The organic shapes and raw finishes behind Shuh Lee’s designs add to their uniqueness. All produced in her Melbourne home studio, you’ll feel like you’re buying from your neighbour. The ‘Confetti’ pillowcase is all kinds of cute and the ‘Burger Dreams’ print is equally endearing.
What you’ll pay: $6 – $190

Who: Eat.Me.Do
What they do: Clothing and accessories inspired by food is always a good idea. Handmade in Melbourne, Eat.Me.Do makes avo purses and ‘don’t go bacon my heart’ jackets. These designs are sweet enough to satisfy any craving, with a Bubble O’ Bill patch to take you right back to childhood summers.
What you’ll pay: $9 – $320

Who: RARA Studio 
What they do: The Melbourne design duo behind RARA Studio focuses on uniquely crafted homewares and clothing. Oblong trinket plates are splattered with dots of blue, and mugs made from organic-looking porcelain are a seamless addition to any eclectic set. 
What you’ll pay: $25 – $50

Who: and O Design
What they do: Japanese artist Yumi Ando has been creating delicate ceramic jewellery and interior accessories in Melbourne since 2009. The designs come in traditional Japanese colours of indigo blue, uguisu green and sakura pink. Her dainty studs are so gorgeous you’ll want one for every day of the week. 
What you’ll pay: $35 – $94
