New York just got that much cooler, has abolished the Tampon Tax

If we didn’t already love New York enough, we’ve got a new reason to drop everything and jet off to start a new life.

The state’s Governor, Andrew Cuomo, has answered the calls of women everywhere and abolished the state’s Tampon Tax.

The recently-signed bill eliminates the sales tax on feminine hygiene products across New York State. It’s only the sixth state in the US to do so.

Cuomo said the removal of the tampon tax would bring about “economic justice” and rightly so, with this new bill saving US women an estimated $10 million USD per year.
