RuPaul’s life story is being turned into a TV show

Millennials may know RuPaul from RuPaul’s Drag Race, but did you ever wonder how the reality TV host became a star?

Director and producer, J.J. Abrams, is set to tell the story of RuPaul’s life on-screen, by way of a tv show set in ’80s New York City.

The series will follow RuPaul Andre Charles, from his days as a club scene personality to the queen he is today. RuPaul himself is said to be executive producer for the show.

It’s expected to spotlight legendary nightspots like the Pyramid Club and Limelight, where RuPaul met his now-husband, George LeBar.

There’s no denying this show is going to be a hit with fans across the globe.
