Sanrio has released a Hello Kitty Barbie doll

Celebrations are in order.

For those that aren’t aware, November 1 is Hello Kitty’s birthday.

Today, the Japanese cat turns 43, which means two things. One, she is looking incredible for her age and two, we’re getting a special Hello Kitty release to celebrate.

To commemorate four decades of our favourite childhood cat, Sanrio has joined forces with Barbie to release a limited-edition doll.

The Hello Kitty Barbie arrives in a head-to-toe HK outfit, complete with miniature red bow ties and Hello Kitty motifs.

It comes packaged up with a certificate of authenticity, designating the doll’s status as a Gold Label Barbie Signature Doll.

The Hello Kitty Barbie drops today on the Barbie websitefor $100USD, and in mid-November at Sanrio.
