Embracing new paw-renthood.

Because pugs in strollers are just the norm, this latest news isn’t the biggest shocker.

A Nordic pet supply company is offering parental leave so new mums can take care of their tiny fur babies.

The company, Musti Group, has stated that it will grant a “three-day parental leave for employees acquiring a puppy or kitten,” already in effect.

The aptly-titled ‘pawternity’ leave is a victory for pet owners in the Nordic region and can be added to the list of strange animal-related ventures next to puppy pawdicures and CATables.

CEO of the company, David Rönnberg, revealed: “Adopting a pet is a significant decision and changes everyday life considerably. We want to support our employees during their first days with their new family member and ensure that they can enjoy those precious moments to the fullest.”

HR people in Aus, take note.
