Tinsel Queen Rachel Burke is taking over ACMI’s ‘Wonderland’ exhibition

Eat, drink, sparkle.

Queen of tinsel, Rachel Burke, is joining ACMI down the rabbit hole for her first Melbourne tinsel takeover.

In previous works, the multidisciplinary artist behind @imakestagram has crafted bedazzled creations for Kesha, Splendour in the Grass and written her own book.

Now, she’s turning her attention to Melburnians.

Taking place during Melbourne Fashion Week, Rachel and ACMI are delivering a glittering calendar of events inspired by the magical exhibition, Wonderland.

The sparkling array of events include:

Wonderland Late Nights with Honcho Disko

Rachel Bourke will showcase her Wonderland-inspired guerrilla fashion show alongside Honcho Disko, who will deliver a shimmering burlesque, circus and drag performance. Exclusively at ACMI, the glitter with continue well into the night with a performance by artist duo, The Huxleys.
