Made from real bread.
Our love of carbs knows no bounds, and it was only a matter of time before it crept into our decor choices.
Which is where Pampshade comes in. Combining the Japanese word for bread (pan) with the word lampshade, the brand specialises in – you guessed it – bread lamps.
Baker-turned-designer Yukiko Morita uses actual loaves and pastries in her pieces, hollowing them out and coating them in resin before adding bulbs and wiring.
Frustrated with the amount of bread she saw thrown out every day, Morita started the brand to combat waste – which is why she uses leftovers of the hollowed out loaves for cooking and other projects.
With a warm, golden glow, Pampshade’s range is ideal for nightlights or just adding some atmosphere to a room.
You can choose from baguettes, miniature rolls, croissants and other delicious looking baked goods.
The only problem will be resisting the temptation to take a bite out of your new lamp.
