I’m lovin’ it.

McDonald’s is finally waking up and paying attention to its vegetarian customer base, with news that a McVeggie burger has landed in Australia.

The all-new burger is currently being trialled at McDonald’s restaurants in South Australia, before a decision will be made to roll it out across the country.

It’s not the first time McDonald’s has trialled a vegetarian burger, having rolled out unsuccessful versions in the past few years.

However, 2019’s recipe is new and improved, with a crumb-coated patty made from mixed vegetables (potato, peas, corn, carrot, onion) topped with cheese, lettuce, mayo and pickles.

It follows moves by competitors such as Hungry Jack’s introducing a vegan cheeseburger late last year.

Looks like the fate of the McVeggie burger rests on you, South Australians.
