Astroworld: Travis Scott

Impressive lineup.
For all the hype surrounding the release of Astroworld, I had pretty high expectations.
Particularly when you add a guest list including Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Stevie Wonder, and Pharrell Williams – now that’s a heavy hitting lineup. The danger with this, of course, is being overshadowed on your own album – and unfortunately that does happen here. The best tracks see Drake or Frank taking the lead, and the others simply meld into a trippy background soundscape.
Regardless, this is still his best album to date, and the epic 537,000 album sales in the US more than prove that Scott being occasionally overshadowed is still just as sellable as Post Malone on a good day.
