War of the floating glass boxes.

Lorde has called out Kanye West and Kid Cudi for plagiarising her set design.

Kanye and Kid Cudi appeared for the first time as double act Kids See Ghosts on Sunday, a performance that included a floating glass box stage. But a few people, including Lorde herself, noticed similarities to a set used by the Kiwi singer earlier this year.

As part of the Melodrama tour, Lorde and her dancers performed in – you guessed it – a floating glass box stage.

Lorde posted photos of both sets on her Instagram story, adding the caption, “I’m proud of the work I do and it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves. But don’t steal – not from women or anyone else – not in 2018 or ever.”

Kanye and Kid Cudi have not commented on the accusations.

@lordemusic is throwing some serious shade in her stories towards Kanye and @kidcudi ’s direction for their Kids See Ghosts set last night and we’re here for it….if only because of the irony of @kimkardashian calling out @ysl earlier this year for copying Ye’s set design from his 2016 Saint Pablo tour when he apparently invented suspending light bulbs from above lol. We’re no experts in stage design, but does Lorde have a case here? Let’s all just take this as a chance to appreciate @alexandermcqueen’s glass wind tunnel, suspended above a floor level runway, from his FW03 show. • #lorde #melodrama #kanyewest #kanye #yeezy #kidcudi #kidsseeghosts #tour #setdesign #stagedesign #concert #kimkardashian #kuwtk #ysl #saintlaurent #pfw #parisfashionweek #wiwt #ootd #anthonyvaccarello #dietprada
