Triple J is playing nothing but female artists for International Women’s Day

A celebration of women in music.

Celebrating International Women’s Day, both triple j, Double J and triple j Unearthed will be airing nothing but female artists all day long.

Moreover, the stations will feature a female-only hosting roster including Zan Rowe, Gen Fricker, Coda Conduct, Sarah McVeigh, Linda Marigliano and Bridget Hustwaite, capped off with Pagan’s Nikki Bruman taking care of business for Short.Fast.Loud.

As well as female tunes and hosts, there’ll also be some top-notch guests dropping by. There’ll be chats with Glitoris, The Football Club, Le Pie, Miss Blanks, Moaning Lisa and more sharing stories s about how they’re challenging the music industry and initiating change.

Elsewhere, expect chats with All Our Exes Live in Texas, Jen Cloher and a WOMAdeliade special on Double J.

In comes in light of an investigation from Hack, exposing the inherent gender bias and imbalance in the Australian music industry landscape.

It’s all going down on Wednesday March 8 for International Women’s Day. Find out more over on triple j
