Tkay Maidza releases official video for ‘White Rose’

Queen of Aussie hip hop, Tkay Maidza, has just dropped a video for her new single, ‘White Rose’.
Directed by Keenan MacWilliam, the video for Maidza’s bittersweet break-up track features pared-back sets, trippy transitions and great outfits.
The song is a fan favourite from the rapper’s latest EP, Last Year Was Weird Vol. 1, which was released earlier this year.
Of her work on the EP, Maidza says, “I think it’s a step of me coming into who I’m supposed to be. This is how I want everything to sound and look and feel. For this EP I want people to react as if this is real and I’m here to stay.”
Which is why she’s not slowing down, and is already back in the studio working on Last Year Was Weird Vol. 2 – set to be released in 2019.
In the meantime, Australian fans will be able to catch Tkay Maidza at Grapevine Gathering, Festival of the Sun and Falls Festival.
