Napoleon shows us how to makeover our makeup bag

Don’t get stuck in a rut.

When it comes to makeup, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and stick to the same colours year in, year out. Time
to shake up your makeup routine. It doesn’t take a whole heap of new product to keep you looking fresh.

These babies will give you a more modern, youthful and flattering look, without having to splash all your cash.

Colour
You heard it here first, electric blue is the colour of the moment. Blue eye makeup gives you a fresh, edge (expect to see it on all of this year’s runways).

The easiest way to incorporate the trend is with a loose eye shadow, as it can be used as a shadow or an eyeliner. For a hint of colour, simply tap the brush on your eyelid (over your eyeliner) using a small domed brush. We recommend Napoleon Perdis Loose Eye Dust in Electric Blue $35.

Skin
Skin is in. Forget matte, we want dewy and fresh skin that looks lit from within. Unfortunately not everyone is born with A-list flawless skin (or has a glam squad on hand) but there is a way to cheat the glow. Try a golden luminous cream. Apply to the high points of the face: the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose and to the Cupid’s bow.

We recommend Napoleon Perdis Light Switch Luminizer Palette $70.

Brows
Ditch the tweezers, once again, this year is all about full, textured, natural looking brows. Think babes like Gigi Hadid and Suki Waterhouse. Fuller brows frame the
face and give you that youthful edge. Achieve the look by applying product from the outer tip, working your way towards the start of brow. Apply in short strokes, to mimic the look of natural hair.

A little known secret about brow palettes. They double as eyeshadows, eyeliners and contouring shades. So don’t be afraid to think outside the square. We recommend Napoleon Perdis Couture Brow Kit $49.
