How it feels, smells, and looks

Warning: incoming Charlotte Tilbury fangirl. But it’s justified. Because it’s really, really good. Charlotte Tilbury recently brought out further additions to its Glowgasm range, including the glorious Beauty Light Wands. The wands are glowy blushes that come in similar tube packaging to the brand’s contour products, but finished with a cushion applicator. I really enjoy the cream blush as the consistency is super smooth and blends seamlessly both over and under powder, which is a huge win. The finish gives my cheeks the most stunning glow (it’s like a highlighter for your cheeks, so I would avoid if you’re more of a matte gal or guy) and the four colours are perfection! It’s pigmented without being over-the-top, and can easily be built up to a strong colour or applied for a light flush to the cheeks.

Why I like it

The winners here for me are the formula and finish. The product features the signature Tilbury Glow Gel which is quick-drying and enhances the skin’s luminosity, but actually lasts all day (a hard property to find in a blush). The formula includes brightening pigments, lindera extract to mimic the effect of light, and sensorial oils to leave the skin feeling soft. The blend on these blushes is seamless and they don’t pull on your foundation. Although more suited to winter, I will be wearing these all year round – LOVE.

Areas for improvement

My only flag here is, unsurprisingly, price point – $60 is steep for a blush, but I will say, this is one of my favourite blush formulas to date. A matte version of the same formula would also be nice.
