How it feels/smells/looks

Let me start off by saying this blush is different in person to what you see online. Online, my Ginger shade looks like a matte peachy bronze shade that would be perfect for everyday wear. In real life, however, it definitely strays more into bronze and is full of shimmer and glitter… which is not what I expected. Upon seeing the amount of glitter in the pan, I was freaked out. But once applied it’s not too chunky on the cheeks and gives more of a sparkly sheen that blends seamlessly onto the skin for a really nice bronzy cheek topper. It’s not what I expected, but the formula is solid and the colour is different to anything else currently in my collection. Be warned, if sparkly blushes aren’t for you, this shade definitely won’t be the one to pick up.

Why I like it

The formula is great – it’s quite similar to some of the cult classics such as Nars or Tarte. It features micro-fine powders which provide the silky finish and it’s definitely a product you can either use for a hint of colour or build up into a more substantial flush. It’s easy to blend out on the skin, it’s pigmented without being over-the-top, and all the shades (there are nine in total) seem really wearable, with something there for everyone. My number one tip here would be to head in store to check the finish. As mentioned, if you want matte, sheen or shimmer you’ll need to judge each shade in the flesh.

Areas for improvement

This is a really solid blush and one I will wear when I am in the mood for a bit of sparkle. It’s a solid formula but I don’t think as good as the Nars blush range. So, I’ll continue to pick those up over this one. I also think you can pick up blushes that are just as good for half the price at Priceline – check out L’Oreal, NYX and Bourjois Paris for some great options.
