How it feels/smells/looks

Coming into winter, I am all about hydration and real skincare benefits. So, upon recommendation from a Mecca staff member, I tried out the Perricone moisturiser. When it comes to products like this, I’m concerned with its feel on the skin and if it actually does something – and this honestly ticks all these boxes. It’s not too heavy and not too light, making it the perfect texture to be used both morning and night. It smells amazing as well – sort of reminds me of cucumbers or a day spa, and it’s a very refreshing, non-offensive scent. But most importantly, it does help keep the skin hydrated, has a stack of anti-aging benefits, and never leaves the skin feeling sticky or greasy. Tick, tick, tick!

Why I like it

Aside from the A+ texture and smell, I like it because it actually does something good for the skin. The product contains acyl-glutathione – an antioxidant which not only helps repair the skin but also reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It also boasts a blend of flaxseed, chai seed and macadamia seeds to provide intense moisture whilst improving the skins natural barrier and helping the skin feel smooth and supple with a natural glow. Overall, this is a nicely balanced moisturiser perfect for day use in these winter months.

Areas for improvement

I don’t have much to say against this one. You do only get 30ml for $150, so it’s on the steep side, but I honestly believe it’s worth investing in great skincare products. After all, they’re the foundation of your routine, and ensure everything you put on top of them works well!
