Beauty report: Nars Super Radiant Booster

words by Rachel Krasky

Name: Nars Super Radiant Booster
Price: $46
What it does: lightweight gel that amplifies skins illumination to aid in producing a radiant complexion
Available from: mecca.com.au

How it feels/smells/looks

I’m a sucker for a glow product – anything that says it’ll make me look glowy, dewy or fresh-skinned all day and I am IN! Nars is definitely not first in market to produce a skin illuminator, but I’m always interested in trying the brand’s products. The formula is super lightweight and fragrance-free. Meanwhile, the packaging is surprisingly comfact and light, making it a great travel companion.

Why I like it

This product comes in one universal shade for all skin tone which I like, as it means anyone can use it. I enjoy that it can be used in multiple ways – be it layered underneath your makeup, or mixed in with foundation so you can customise your glow. The colour is a subtle light gold that blends seamlessly to create a stunning highlight all over. After testing, it’s best used on the high points of the face rather than all over. As usual with these types of products, it’s not going to add to the longevity of your makeup, but is more about giving your base a strong glow before you go in with foundation.

Areas for improvement

While I like this product, it’s not a game changer. I plan to use it up, but I think there are other more affordable options on the market that give a similar result – from Loreal Lumi to Mecca’s own Lit From Within Primer which is just as good and will save you some dollars.
