Top shelf status.
July delivered the kind of beauty launches that make you reconsider your entire routine. Some lived up to the hype, while others quickly became the products we reached for every morning without thinking.
From a dermatologist-created serum that does the heavy lifting to the cream bronzer faking a long weekend in the Mediterranean, we’re rolling into August looking fresher than ever.

Mecca Cosmetica Weekend Skin Hydra Tint, $60

For the one-and-done girls, Mecca Cosmetica’s new skin tint is perfect for those low-maintenance weekend or office days. It offers sheer coverage and a glowy finish, with SPF 50 and skincare benefits like peptides and vitamin C. As a long-time Glossier Skin Tint stan, this might be my new favourite everyday base.

Bon Elliot Hydrating Performance Serum, $220

Speaking of simplified routines, I love when a new brand is self-assured enough to launch with just one product. Created by Sydney-based dermatologist Dr Bonnie Fergie, this potent serum is the result of her many years of research into what makes a healthy skin microbiome. Made with a bioretinoid alternative, it’s also packed with peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and vitamin C.

Go-To Rapid Scalp Exfoliant, $45

Winter can wreak havoc on your scalp. To combat flakiness, excess oil or product build-up, try incorporating a scalp scrub once a week. Go-To’s pre-wash treatment uses BHAs to exfoliate and balance the scalp, while the nozzle makes it super easy to apply in the shower. My hair has never felt so clean.

ghd Sculpt, $599

If you’re still using the same hair straighters you bought in 2005, now would be a great time to upgrade. 25 years in the making, the next-gen ghd Sculpt regulates your hair’s temperature for zero heat damage – not an easy claim to make. The new infinity plates also make it much easier to achieve those Margot Robbie-esque undone waves.
