Top Three: These are the products Australian content producer and skinfluencer Ali Whittle can’t live without

Words by CAIT EMMA BURKE

Simply the best.

I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, and if so which cleansers you use. I want to know if there’s some special hair contraption or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life. I want to know what curl definer you use and which lip balm you swear by.

But my interest in products doesn’t just pertain to the world of beauty – I’m always eager to hear about an air fryer that someone loves so much they’ve convinced their entire extended family to get one, or a laptop stand that’s corrected their posture and improved their quality of life by at least 25 per cent.

In short, I j’adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian beauty and skincare influencers for their top three products, AKA the products they simply cannot live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be any three products, as long as they’re the three they value the most.

Next up is content producer and skinfluencer Ali Whittle. Ali really knows her stuff when it comes to products, something a quick scan of her Instagram feed will confirm. If, like me, you want to know how she gets her skin so glowy and gleamy, you’ll be pleased to know I’ve asked her for her top three products of all time.

Product one: The Beauty Chef Glow Powder

How did you first discover this product?

This stuff is SO GOOD. I’ve been taking the Glow Powder for years now but ramped it up to every day a few months before my wedding last year in December.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

I absolutely love the results – strong nails, glowing skin, healthy hair etc, and now over 12 months later [post her wedding] I haven’t stopped my daily intake. It’s so brilliant and a wonderful way to take care of yourself and your gut and get your prebiotics and probiotics, plus so many other great ingredients.

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

It’s now available at Mecca! You can also get it from The Beauty Chef’s website, Adore Beauty, David Jones or Sephora.

Product two: Bioderma Sensibio H2O Michelle Solution

How did you first discover this product?

I discovered this product maybe five to six years ago after my best friend in London – who works in fashion and always has the best insider tips – recommended it to me. Ever since then I always have one on the go and a backup.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

It’s a French pharmacy skincare must have!! If you are using makeup wipes, immediately stop and switch to this micellar (also make sure you use a reusable cotton pad with it to reduce single-use products). It removes any trace of the day off your face and it’s so gentle on the skin.

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

It’s just beautiful and a cult product for every beauty editor/insider/makeup artist etc. You can get this from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse or Adore Beauty.

Product three: Ultra Violette Supreme Screen

How did you first discover this product?

Okay, if we were to rank the most important skincare product ever in the history of skincare it would have to be sunscreen. If you aren’t wearing it every day of the year rain, hail or shine – you’re doing it wrong. And make sure it’s SPF 50+. Now super chic and really beautiful SPFs exist like Ultra Violette, which is Aussie made and female-founded (the founders Ava and Bec are legends). Once you try it, you won’t go back. My favourite is the Supreme Screen.

What is it/what does it do and why do you love it?

It makes my skin so glowy, hydrated and feels like silk – the best makeup primer too. Also, their body sunscreen is one of the best I’ve tried too. They make sunscreen so enjoyable!

Where can we find it and who would you recommend it to?

Everyone! You can get this from Ultra Violette’s website, Sephora or Adore Beauty.
