A beautiful pairing
Ahead of the official release of YSL Beauty’s new fragrance, the brand has announced there will be an exciting, new ambassador for the line.
Teasing “a new voice is coming” in a series of Instagram posts, the brand unveiled the new ambassador to be none other than Grammy Award-winning, UK pop icon Dua Lipa.
Posting to her own Instagram, Lipa looked the part, wearing one of her signature power suits in a fierce behind the scenes post.
Joining the likes of Zoë Kravitz and Kaia Gerber, Lipa noted she felt at home in the YSL Beauty team and appreciated the small role she played in helping choose the final scent.
The ‘New Rules’ singer also teased that the campaign was shot by iconic filmmaker, Nabil Elderkin, the same mind who brought us FKA’s dreamy ‘Two Weeks’ video. Having also worked on film clips for Frank Ocean, SZA and Kendrick Lamar, we’re expecting big things from this collaboration.
International manager of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Stephen Bezy, said that Lipa is: “the voice of her generation. [She] embodies the values of independence and freedom, which have always been part of Yves Saint Laurent’s DNA.”
The fragrance is set for release this September.
