Lonely boi.

Update: We regret to inform you that Keanu Reeves may not actually be lonely. Following worldwide coverage of his ‘lonely guy’ interview with Star Media Group (published via The Jakarta Post and Star2), Reeves’ publicist has told The Huffington Post that the interview didn’t happen.

“This was pieced together from several interviews and the majority of these questions were not asked nor answered. They are fabricated,” she said in a statement on Saturday.

Star2 has published a response to the allegation, interestingly admitting that the comments didn’t actually come from a singular interview.

“[Phillip] Berk, a longtime columnist for Star Media Group, confirmed that his interview took place at the Four Seasons New York in April 2019, at a press conference between the HFPA and Reeves, who was promoting his new film John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” the article reads.

Berk, who has been a journalist for 40  years, has clarified that the “lonely guy” comment did come from a previous interview he had with Reeves, and refutes the unverified allegation that he fabricated any of his interviews with the actor.”

Keanu seems to be having a pretty good year. He recently became the face of Yves Saint Laurent, and his new John Wick movie, Parabellum, is smashing box office records.

All should be well for the actor but in a recent interview with The Jakarta Post, he revealed his personal life might not be going so great.

When asked to define what love means to him, he replied, “you mean romantic love? You know, I’m the lonely guy.”

The self-professed lonely boi goes on to admit he “doesn’t have anyone” in his life. “But if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person; hopefully it’ll happen for me,” he said.

Bless his soul. Maybe he could be the next Bachelor?
