Mecca taps tapestry artist Tammy Kanat for this year’s holiday packaging

Words by Maeve Kerr-Crowley

Mecca’s holiday collection has arrived, and as well as a tonne of limited-edition products it includes a new collaboration.

For five years the brand has been collaborating with female artists through its Mecca M-Power program, featuring each artist’s work on the packaging of a special release.

This year, jeweller turned tapestry artist, Tammy Kanat, was tasked with designing vibrant packaging for the festive season.

MECCA COLLABORATION In Mecca’s quest to empower women in the arts, they have partnered with the National Gallery of Victoria to collaborate with myself to create a limited-edition design for the MECCA 2019 holiday campaign. I am honoured to be the artist selected for Mecca’s 2019 holiday campaign and love the design we have created and hope you enjoy it to. Thank you @meccacosmetica and @ngvmelbourne for supporting women in the arts, you are such an inspiration.
