Mecca’s released two new candles and they smell just like Christmas

Who needs a real tree?

When it comes to Christmas in the southern hemisphere, there are some festive sacrifices that have to be made. Namely the idea that on Christmas eve, you can curl up in front of a crackling fire, mantle hung with stockings.

Instead, we’re making do with the next best thing. Our friends at Mecca have just brought in some new candle releases to celebrate the festive season. And they’re going to the top of our wish list.

The Mon Beau Sapin candle is the holiday release from Maison Francis Kurkdjian. With sweet and woody notes, it’ll leave your room smelling of Christmas trees and almost certainly inspire you to drink eggnog and sing carols.

Cult fragrance house, Diptyque has also shared its take on festive scents. The Foret Givree candle is as luxe as it is delicious. It promises to fill your home with the scent of a frosted forest and contains notes of fir needles, Hinoki wood and mint. It also comes in a limited-edition vessel with a silver unicorn on the front.

Christmas never smelt so good.
