We have an opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our Merchandise team on a 12 month Parental Leave contract based in Alexandria. The suitable candidate will hit the ground running supporting with the planning and execution of product strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Planner in executing range strategies across all jewellery categories with a focus on continuity product.
- Responsible for ensuring optimal allocations to all channels to reflect demand, location trends, and customer behaviour.
- Maintain continuity collections via linecards to accurately forecast forward demand and stock orders required.
- Support Senior Planner liaising with Production, Merchandising, and Finance teams to manage spend within approved open-to-buy limits.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure 100% in-stock availability for core lines across all locations, including managing stock replenishment and consolidations.
- Work cross functionally to provide key stakeholders with product focuses to support marketing or retail strategies and ensure product availability supports storytelling and brand moments.
- Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and business insights to make informed commercial decisions.
- Develop and present weekly trade reports on inventory performance, demand trends, and key KPIs to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, acting as a reliable point of coordination and communication.
- Monthly store visits to understand demographic of each store and work alongside the Retail team providing stock support.
KEY SKILLS
- A keen interest in jewellery, with an understanding of customer expectations in a premium retail environment.
- 2-3 years of planning experience in retail, preferably in fashion, jewellery or beauty.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with solid time management and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a committed team player.
