Role Description
Founded in 2014, Temple of the Sun is the embodiment of a shared creative vision between couple Yonna Derofe and Darren Gallant. The Temple ethos is anchored in a deep appreciation for ancient craft, historical codes and the natural world, translating into modern ancient heirlooms of rare beauty; Ethically made Jewellery that inspires beyond time and trend.
For the last 10 years Temple has been known for their ethically crafted 925 sterling silver jewellery, 18K gold vermeil and more recently their Solid Gold Jewellery hand-crafted by artisans in their Byron Bay studio. Their distinct modern ancient design philosophy inspires beyond time and trend and has earned Temple of the Sun fans across the globe.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Brand Creative to join the team at Temple of the Sun in our Byron Bay head office. This key role plays a vital part in driving the visibility and growth of the brand both in the Australian market and globally.
As part of the wider Marketing team, the Brand Creative will be the custodian of Temple’s aesthetic world and responsible for its visual language. They will have the ability to strategically weave our design language, aesthetic sensibilities and brand history throughout all of our visual content, taking our customers on a journey that inspires and connects. We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong Graphic Design skills, but also has a vision for how to propel the brand to new heights and into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Report into and work closely with our Creative Director to translate brand vision, cues and mood boards into tangible, creative output that can be used across a variety of channels, including digital and print
- Strategise, oversee and support in the production of creative assets, and measure against innovative, ever-evolving brand guidelines and competitors
- Collaborate closely with our in-house teams, including Social Media, Online, Operations and Wholesale
- Manage the workflow and output of Junior Creative, in-house photographer, and any external creatives
- Manage and prioritise creative timelines as well as resource allocation to ensure smooth and timely delivery of assets
- Innovate and explore new ways to blend global trends with our unique brand identity, understanding global fashion, trends and visuals, with a sensitivity to cultural nuances
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Has extensive graphic design experience working with Adobe Suite, particularly in areas of retouching and grading, ideally in the fashion or jewellery sector
- Experience with video editing, i.e., After-Effects
- Animation experience highly desirable but not required
- Has worked as part of a team, ideally as a leader and can organise and manage workloads
- Understands the brand at its core and is able to translate into tangible output across the various areas of the business
- Possess ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience and reflect the brand’s values through visuals
