Role Description
MUSE, Relove is a pre-loved rent-a-rack boutique dedicated to offering customers a curated selection of high-quality, second-hand fashion. We offer a unique platform that enables individuals to rent rack space and sell their items, promoting sustainable fashion and fostering community engagement.
We are looking for a fashion-savvy, sales-driven Part-Time Store Assistant to oversee daily store operations, assist customers, and – most importantly – sell our rack rental model. The ideal candidate will have strong fashion knowledge, excellent customer service skills, the ability to confidently promote rack rental and a keen eye for trends, ensuring the store is visually appealing. They will play a key role in helping consignors get set up, take payments on the spot, and ensure a seamless experience for both shoppers and sellers.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of fashion trends, designers, and garment construction to provide styling advice to customers.
- Assist shoppers in selecting outfits that suit their personal style, body type, and occasion.
- Ensure front window merchandise is displayed attractively, reflecting seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Where applicable, evaluate consignment items based on brand, condition, and style to ensure quality control.
- Maintain a strong comprehension of the boutique’s Terms & Conditions for quality control.
- Provide a welcoming and engaging shopping experience, offering tailored fashion advice.
- Address customer inquiries regarding sizing, fit, and styling options; plus how to navigate the store.
- Build rapport with regular shoppers and consignors, fostering a loyal customer base.Educate new customers and clients about the rent-a-rack model.
- Actively sell the rack rental model, ensuring potential consignors understand the benefits of renting space in-store.
- Engage with customers to identify those who may be interested in selling and confidently explain how the system works.
- Take rack bookings and payments on the spot, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new consignors.
- Assist new clients with setting up their online accounts and pricing their items correctly.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, ensuring each rack is fully utilised to maximise store profitability.
- Use quiet periods in-store to brainstorm and create engaging social media content that showcases new arrivals, styling ideas, behind-the-scenes moments, seasonal promotions, trending styles, and rack rental opportunities.
- Take photos and videos of racks, outfits, consignor setups, or in-store activity to be used on Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Be proactive in identifying visual merchandising or store moments that can be turned into high-performing content.
