Role Description
CAMILLA is searching for an experienced and detail-driven Product Developer to join our vibrant Design Tribe.
This role sits at the heart of our Design Development process, partnering closely with Designers, Textile Artists, Pattern Makers and global suppliers to bring each collection to life, beautifully, on time and to the highest standard.
You’ll play a pivotal role in translating creative vision into commercially viable, technically sound products, ensuring each style is developed with integrity, precision and a deep respect for the CAMILLA aesthetic. From seasonal add-ins and special projects to fittings, mock-ups and supplier communication, this role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, organisation and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Mainline Design Team to develop in-season styles and special projects, ensuring design intent is achieved within critical path and budget.
- Manage seasonal product development including proto, SMS and late add-in styles, supporting mock-ups, tech packs and development follow-through.
- Create CLO 3D mock-ups and support print layering approvals in line with sampling timelines.
- Attend fit sessions (Proto, SMS and late add-ins), contributing to fit, construction and design refinement.
- Liaise closely with factory suppliers and third-party agents to track samples, development swatches and approvals.
- Set up and manage seasonal componentry, neckline templates, borders and trims documentation within the PLM system (Centric).
- Support proto ranging, SMS reviews and cross-functional alignment with Buying, Planning and Production.
- Ensure all development milestones are met, with accurate documentation and clear communication throughout the process.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members, and assist in guiding Product Development Assistants through the critical path.
- Champion mindful development decisions, considering circularity, responsible material choices and long-term product longevity.
KEY SKILLS
- 2–4+ years’ experience in Product Development within a fashion or apparel environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with PLM systems (Centric preferred).
- 3D design experience using CLO is highly regarded.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills — you’re comfortable juggling multiple styles and deadlines.
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
- Detail-oriented, self-accountable and driven to deliver exceptional product.
- Passionate about fashion, craftsmanship and bringing beautiful designs to life with purpose.
