Role Description
Búl is a Melbourne-based womenswear label designing thoughtful and timeless collections inspired by travel.
We are looking for a maternity leave replacement for 9-12 months negotiable, 4 days a week. This person must be an enthusiastic, organised and experienced individual to manage production within a relaxed yet fast-paced environment. Working closely with the designer across apparel, knitwear, footwear and accessories located in our Fitzroy studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with offshore manufacturers
- Quality control
- Monitoring critical paths to ensure on-time deliveries
- Assisting with CADS and tech packs
- Assisting with seasonal range development
- Sample coordination
- Specking and measuring garments
- Assisting in fittings
- Maintaining consistency in sewing rules and make standards
- Shipping and logistics of bulk into warehouse
- Supplier PO management and uploads
- Product descriptions
- Intern recruitment, management, training and work flow
- Assisting in fabric and trim sourcing
KEY SKILLS
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- High level attention to detail
- Strong problem solver
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously and in team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated with ‘can do’ attitude
- Very good knowledge of garment construction
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Formal training in fashion design, fashion merchandising or clothing production
- Previous experience at a fashion label in an office position
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Adobe Suite specifically InDesign and Illustrator
