The Role
As our full-time Retail Store Manager, you will report directly to the Co-Founders and lead The Fitting Salon. This role is a unique invitation to take control, bring your ideas to life, and run the boutique as if it were your own. Rather than feeling restricted by rigid management, you will have the creative freedom and autonomy to solve problems, look for fresh opportunities, and help Radical Yes continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- The Customer Experience: Create the kind of memorable interactions that keep people coming back. You will act as the first point of contact across the sales floor, phone, email, and our digital customer service platform, ensuring every customer feels genuinely looked after.
- Drive Boutique Growth: Take ownership of the store’s sales and performance with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will have the opportunity to coach your team to sell with confidence, build lasting community relationships, and take pride in running a thriving retail space.
- Inspire and Lead: Recruit, roster, coach, and develop a capable retail team. You will lead by example, cultivating a positive store environment that reflects the creativity and optimism that make our brand unique.
- Boutique Operations: Keep The Fitting Salon running beautifully and smoothly every day. You will oversee visual merchandising, stock management, reporting, and store presentation.
- Collaborate and Evolve: Work closely with the founders to share insights, improve daily processes, and pitch in wherever needed. We value people who notice opportunities, take initiative, and want to make a real impact.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Experience: At least five years of experience successfully managing a retail store, with premium fashion or lifestyle retail experience preferred.
- Leadership Capabilities: Experience coaching retail teams, managing rosters, balancing wages, and leading store performance.
- Technical Literacy: Comfort utilising Shopify, POS systems, inventory platforms, Google Workspace, and digital customer service platforms.
- The Right Mindset: You are a warm, confident communicator who is comfortable making independent decisions and thrives in a close-knit, small-business environment.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence is preferred.
