Role Description
Bondi Born is a Sydney-based luxury swim and resortwear brand, with an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality and sustainable practices. We sell our garments internationally through our website and retail partners. We currently have stores in Bondi and Noosa and are in the process of adding more.
We’re looking for 3 days per week / permanent, part-time Social Media & PR Specialist to keep Bondi Born’s social channels, creator program and press activity running day to day. A digital native who appreciates elevated style, you will combine your natural creative flair with strong organisational skills and thrive on delivering a constant pipeline of engaging, on-brand content.
We offer genuine flexibility in how your three days are structured. This role would suit someone balancing work with study, family or other commitments.
Reporting to our Brand Content & Merchandising Manager, you will coordinate our influencer, content creator and PR activity, from gifting and outreach through to tracking results, and create on-brand content for our website, socials and ad, working alongside our Creative Director, Store managers and Digital Advertising & Web Design Agencies.
This is an exciting hands-on role for someone who is passionate about brands and content. You can shoot and edit a Reel in the morning and negotiate a creator contract in the afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media and Branded Content
- Manage Bondi Born’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts, ensuring fresh, on-brand content is posted to the grid, Stories and Reels daily.
Maintain the content calendar in line with collection launches and drops set by the Brand Content & Merchandising Manager - Shoot, edit and create video content and Stories in-house
- Write captions and on-brand copy across all channels
- Keep up with designer apparel trends and formats, and monitor competitor brands
- Support the Brand Content & Merchandising Manager with content for our website
- Capture BTS at campaign and studio model shoots which you will edit for use on socials and our website.
- Influencer and creator partnerships
- Coordinate day-to-day communication with our network of Content Creators & Muses
- Research and shortlist new on-brand creators for approval
- Issue approved creator agreements and track deliverables and payments
- Run gifting campaigns for collection launches, including outreach, lookbook messaging and follow-ups
- Process gifting orders and coordinate fulfilment with the warehouse or operations team
- Manage our ShopMy and Accesse accounts, including affiliate links, commissions and creator communications
Community Management
- Manage Instagram DMs and respond to creator enquiries
- Ensure consumer enquiries via social media are responded to daily (via our Customer Service team)
- Reshare Story and post mentions daily
- Download and file all influencer content featuring Bondi Born.
UGC and paid social
- Build a strong relationship with our select group of UGC creators, providing inspiration, direction and support
- Plan and organise UGC & EGC content for Meta ads
- With support from Brand Content Manager, negotiate contracts, manage usage rights and billing
PR
- With support from Brand Content Manager, maintain our press database and assist with distribution of brand news
- Manage press and stylist requests for garment loans with assistance from our Warehouse team
- Track garments out and back, and keep files of resulting press photos and coverage
Reporting
- Compile monthly performance reports on social, influencer and ShopMy results
- Track gifting, creator content output and campaign results
About You
- Currently studying towards, or holding, a degree in Communications, Marketing, Media or a related field (Communications or Marketing preferred)
- 1–2 years’ experience in social media, influencer marketing or PR (in-house, agency, internship or freelance), ideally in fashion
- Confident creating and editing short-form video (CapCut, Instagram Edits or similar)
- Strong copywriter with a feel for brand voice
- Strong creative flair
- Photography skills
- Confident reaching out to, and negotiating with, content creators
- Highly organised: you can juggle samples, orders, deadlines and DMs without things slipping
- Up to date with Instagram and TikTok trends and creator culture
- Sydney-based and able to work from the Marrickville Office for 1-2 days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with ShopMy or other affiliate and creator platforms
- Existing network of Australian creators, stylists or fashion editors
