To support our growth and social media & digital marketing efforts, we are seeking a skilled Social Media Marketing Specialist. The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for championing the social and content strategy plus execution at Bhumi. This individual knows what high-performing, elevated content looks like for a luxury, sustainable brand and is dedicated to amplifying Bhumi’s presence globally.
Bhumi isn’t just an eCommerce business. With a core focus on product strategy and retail growth, we currently operate two physical retail stores in Australia (Melbourne and Byron Bay) and aim to expand our market share internationally, particularly in US and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategising and rolling out content for an upcoming product range launch across multiple channels based on our product strategy.
- Leading and owning the video content production process, including preparing, filming, editing, and posting IG Reels and TikTok videos.
- Scheduling, briefing, and collaborating with models for product content shoots.
- Working closely with the Website, Performance & Creative teams to plan content aligned with product stock level analysis and upcoming launches.
- Brainstorming and executing innovative content ideas and rollout plans for Australia and overseas.
- Develop, produce, and manage diverse content for Bhumi across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Craft channel-specific content strategies to bring Bhumi to life through robust briefs for internal and external stakeholders while creating engaging videos and photos.
- Understand the brand’s aesthetics, values, and messaging to create aligned content.
- Lead ideating and executing in-house content that aligns with brand ethos and commercial objectives.
- Manage Bhumi’s social media pages, prioritising Instagram, leveraging trends, and driving social commerce results while maintaining consistent branding.
- Create, edit, and schedule daily content on: Educational messaging related to sustainable fashion and businesses; and
- Aesthetic product presentations featuring models or standalone products
- Analyse industry trends, conduct market research, and utilise performance-based reporting to guide content creation and growth strategies
- Write copy for all social media requirements and assist the marketing team with copywriting needs.
KEY SKILLS
- A deep understanding of content production, with a strong focus on luxury and sustainability branding.
- Proven experience in managing and growing social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong skills in video production, editing, and storytelling (e.g. Capcut, Lightroom).
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external talent.
- Strategic thinking with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
- Ability to adapt and stay updated with emerging trends in social media and sustainable fashion.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field.
- Proven 3+ years of experience in social media management and content creation (non-negotiable).
- Demonstrable 3+ years of experience in collaborating & working in larger teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous content creation and campaign success, particularly on Instagram (Reels) and TikTok.
- Strong references will be plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal, time management and organisation skills.
- Exceptional content creation, creative briefing, copywriting and communication skills.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly for a growing lifestyle eCommerce brand.
- A data-driven approach to working with social media content, collaborators, influencers, publishers and the wider community.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment and manage multiple projects at one time autonomously and positively.
- Most importantly, hunger & curiosity to learn & achieve.
