Role Description
ZIMMERMANN has an opportunity for a creative Textile Designer to join our renowned Design team.
This position will involve artwork design and development from concept through to bulk in line with the Zimmermann brand aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Creative Director and design team on seasonal concepts
- Extensively research creative ideas and provide input on the key textile design elements of each season in line with the Creative Director’s vision.
- Creating original purpose-built artworks for Zimmermann seasonal collections under direction from Creative Director that are unique and not derivative.
- Ensure all artworks is created in line with the company standards regarding originality and intellectual property rules.
- Technical preparation of artwork including creating artwork repeats and colour separations.
- Complete placement print designs, engineering to pattern markers.
- Grade and nest placement artworks.
- Adhere to seasonal deadlines.
- Ensure design room is organized including fabric references, design board and general design room workspace.
KEY SKILLS
- Tertiary qualifications in Textile design
- Previous experience as a textile designer
- The ability to demonstrate outstanding creative instincts and a distinct point of view through colour, texture and patterns.
- Have strong design and communicative skills.
- Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign skills.
- Immaculate attention to detail.
- Knowledge of current design trends, industry developments and new textile processes.
