Role Description

As a casual Dispatch and Production Assistant, you’ll be required one or two days per week (to start with) to help create our made-to-order pieces. From the Marrickville workshop, you’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards for product quality and customer experience. In exchange, we’ll provide you with a unique opportunity to engage in local production, learn and develop your own skills and knowledge base.
KEY SKILLS
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience as a production jeweller. Skilled Jewellery students and recent degree graduates who can clean and polish to a high standard will also be considered.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customer service assistants and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems and manage challenges and changes in the production process.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Willingness to learn new hands-on techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Casting desprue and cleanup
- Polishing
- Dropping off job batches at local suppliers and collecting completed jobs.
- Monitor incoming orders and organise them into batches to streamline production processes
- Collaborate with the production network to coordinate order fulfilment and ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with the Customer Service assistant to ensure that customers are always up to date with the progress of their made-to-order piece.
- Set up 3D Prints and remove finished parts from the machine. No experience required here, just a willingness to learn. Check 3D prints for defects.
- General organisation of the workshop and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Packing and shipping of orders.
