Role Description
In 2004, V&W began their journey in Melbourne with a simple vision to create a small range of effortless wardrobe staples with a pared-back modern feel. Since then the brand has evolved into offering complete ready-to-wear collections that deliver customers with a contemporary and sustainable wardrobe.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Viktoria & Woods as we expand our wholesale presence both within Australia and internationally. The Wholesale Brand Manager will be tasked with expanding the presence of Viktoria & Woods through current wholesale networks as well as identifying and growing new channels in both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow the international wholesale business.
- Review retailers within international markets to determine where the focus for sales should be within Europe, Asia, North and South America and the Middle East.
- Determine which stockists to partner with and create a realistic strategy to join these retailers.
- Regularly review boutique and large format wholesale opportunities for Viktoria & Woods to enter into within the domestic and international markets
- Explore opportunities for further sales growth within current stockists, including providing a wider offering of product for wholesale purchase.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with current and potential wholesale stakeholders and stockists
- Drive a collection that meets the international markets needs.
- Motivate, inspire and train wholesale agents each season to ensure optimal customer experience for each collection sell.
- Help manage critical path in collaboration with design, merchandising and marketing teams to ensure wholesale dates and appropriate assets are achieved through open and regular communication.
- Ensure collection handover to agents is thorough, informative and aspirational and all sales assets are provided on time.
- Continual review of wholesale sales terms to maximise sales opportunity for Viktoria & Woods and re-negotiate terms where required.
- Ensure correct product placement / store positioning within current stockists ensuring Viktoria & Woods is placed in the idyllic department location.
- Report on seasonal performance and ensure the brand is responding to customer needs
- Manage wholesale shipping and logistics
- Asset and sample management
- Participate in branding opportunities as appropriate to ensure brand awareness in the international market and to increase sales.
KEY SKILLS
- Fashion Business, Business or Commerce Degree highly regarded
- 5+ years’ experience with a sales environment within the Fashion industry.
- A developed network of national and international stockist connections highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the international market and its retailers, both physical and online.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience.
