Aussie pride.
Semi-finalists for the Redress Design Award have been revealed, and an Aussie graduate has made the cut.
Tess Whitfort, who completed a Bachelor of Fashion at Box Hill Institute, is the only Australian included in the list of 30 international designers.
The Redress Design Award aims to encourage and reward sustainable fashion practices, which is what Tess’ work is all about.
With a focus on subcultures and up-cycling, the collection uses fabric remnants and sustainable inks and paints to create androgynous, expressive garments.
The winner of the award will be given the chance to design a retail line for up-cycled fashion brand The R Collection.
