Christian Cowan is designing a high-fashion ‘Powerpuff Girls’ collection

Girl power.

Any respectable child of the ’90s will be familiar with The Powerpuff Girls, and now the cartoon is experiencing a high-fashion resurgence.

In celebration of girl power, British designer Christian Cowan is teaming up with Cartoon Network for an exclusive Powerpuff Girls collection.

The one-of-a-kind range will be unveiled during a special LA runway event on International Women’s Day. While it won’t be available for purchase, Cowan is reportedly producing a selection of merch including tees, transparent bags and other items to go along with it.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cowan said: “[The Powerpuff Girls] was such a trailblazer in children’s entertainment, because it showed girls could be powerful rather than the damsel in distress.”
