Vetements SS17 is here and bringing back Juicy Couture
Dust off your velour tracksuits.
Paris-based label Vetements just debuted at Paris Couture Week and it may have just brought back Juicy Couture.
The 55-look collection featured collaborations from 18 different designers for Spring/Summer 2017.
COMME des GARÇONS, Manolo Blahnik, Levi’s, and Dr. Martens were among those partnered with the label. Oh, and Juicy Couture.
Because it wouldn’t be couture without Juicy Couture, would it?
Each collaborating brand was chosen for a specific area of expertise.
Dr. Martens for boots, Manolo Blahnik for women’s heels and apparently, Juicy Couture for tracksuits.
Vetements reimagined the classic velour tracksuit by creating a slimmer-cut one-piece, sporting the classic ‘Juicy’ logo on the arms and pants.

Other notable pieces were the Manolo Blahnik waist-high boots, (yes, waist) in jewel tones of pink, orange and green.
In an interview with New York Magazine, designer Demna Gvasalia explained the logic behind the huge designer collaboration.
“The idea was always to take the iconic, the most recognisable product from their brand, and put it into a Vetements frame, whether in terms of shape or construction.”
Dust off your velour tracksuits, Juicy Couture just made a comeback.
