Converse launches its new range with an immersive art experience created by three young Australian creatives

Converse has launched its new range of the Chuck Taylor All Star CX alongside makeup artist Rowi Singh and three up-and-coming creatives as part of the brand’s CX Artist Series.
To celebrate the launch, a Sydney-based pop-up art experience was created, with the three creatives – Daniella Ocean, Shen Osaki and Ibrahim Intwari, each of which is a member of Converse’s global All Stars community – being mentored by Rowi.

With backgrounds in fashion and design, visual storytelling and photography, the three All Stars were given one week to reimagine an empty Surry Hills space into a walk-through work of art. The space featured two rooms that were meant to represent different phases of the creative process, with the first room representing uncertainty and the second focusing on experimentation and the actualisation of a creative idea.

Speaking about the pop-up experience, Rowi said, “It has been incredible to witness firsthand this unique initiative Converse has brought to life through both the All Star community and CX Artist Series. As a creative, I love collaborating with like-minded individuals to inspire my own creative process and so when the opportunity to mentor inspiring local artists arose, I embraced it.”
The immersive art experience was open to the public until the end of last month, and in addition to being mentored by Rowi, each All Star was able to learn from each other and build on their creative ideas, thanks to their diverse skillsets. The CX Artist Series was inspired by the Chuck Taylor All Star CX, which has just been released in two new two-tone colours, ash black/light grey and white/navy.
This comfort-first high top has been updated with innovative new materials and technology, while still retaining that classic Chuck Taylor All Star style, including a rubber toe bumper and toe cap and the star ankle patch.
