Did Dior just make the ugliest shoe ever?

Yikes.

Competition for the world’s ugliest shoe is fierce and never-ending.

The latest entry comes from Dior’s Spring 19 runway and is part ballet slipper, part compression bandage.

Made from nude neoprene with a grosgrain ribbon ankle tie, the sandals also feature a clear Perspex wedge heel. The crisscrossed wrap design vaguely resembles a ballerina’s pointe shoe, but we can’t stop seeing an ankle brace.

Dior’s dance-themed collection also included more traditional close-toed ballet slippers and jazz shoe inspired sneakers.
