Dr. Martens’ latest boot is covered in Joy Division album artwork

Words by Tara Smith

One for the ages.

Dr. Martens’ latest release is an ode to two of Britain’s most influential post-punk bands.

The brand has teamed up with Joy Division and New Order for a series of 1460 boots, reinvented with each band’s album artwork.

Joy Division’s iconic debut album, Unknown Pleasures, has been reimagined into an 8-eye boot, embossed in black leather and finished with an AirWair sole.

Meanwhile, the artwork for New Order’s Power, Corruption & Lies has been printed onto cristal suede leather, giving the appearance of antique canvas. The result is a limited-edition release giving a whole new meaning to the term ‘wearable art’.

The drop is due to land online and in select stores from late July. We’re tipping it won’t be around for long.
