E Nolan is holding its first trunk show fittings in Sydney

Words by Maki Morita

Suit up, Sydney.

The Savile Row aesthetic may seem strictly like a gentleman’s affair. This London street’s history brings to mind finely-groomed men in tailored suits and polished shoes, adorned with cufflinks and ties. But E Nolan has made its name incorporating these time-honoured traditions into the world of womenswear.

Bringing together classic tailoring methods with forward-thinking design, Melbourne-based womenswear label E Nolan has set a new standard for women’s tailoring in Australia. In just 12 months, the made-to-order brand has built a loyal following and been named one of Vogue Australia’s 60 designers to watch in the next 60 years.

For the first time ever, E Nolan will be having ‘trunk show’ fittings in Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay, held from February 7 to February 9. Sydneysiders have the chance to meet E Nolan’s founder Emily Nolan for a limited run of appointments and get themselves a made-to-measure suit.

During a one-on-one session with the designer, clients will discuss their desired cut and choose from a collection of 60 fabrics including Australian Merino Wool, Irish linen, and Japanese and Italian cotton.

With fast fashion and online shopping becoming the norm, E Nolan is going against the grain by producing quality garments that are made to last. E Nolan is part of the new wave of Australian fashion offering women the chance to wear stylish, timeless garments, and we hope more labels follow suit.
