Christopher Esber unveils a new direction at NYFW
Perhaps his best work yet.
While Christopher Esber is known for his soft tailoring and form-flattering silhouettes, his latest collection throws a spanner in the works.
Unveiled overnight at NYFW, the Fall 17 range is inspired by classic automobiles.
Leather accents and boxy shapes bring a tougher edge to the designer’s signature draping, while exaggerated cutouts retain a decided femininity.
A series of liquid satin looks are also present, balancing the tougher elements of the collection and paying homage to the Esber’s traditional design approach.
It’s ladylike, but not overtly so.
Esber has nailed it once again.
