It’s official: American Apparel has relaunched its website

Welcome back.

After a tumultuous few years, filing for bankruptcy twice and closing down completely, American Apparel has officially relaunched its website.

We first caught wind of a relaunch after the company was bought out by Canadian activewear company Gildan earlier this year. However, the relaunch has come weeks earlier than expected. 

The online store looks to be the same old American Apparel, with a strong focus on sweatshop-free basics.

If you were a big fan of the retailer’s old stuff, you can also click to the ‘Icons Shop’, a collection of its best sellers from back in the day.

At the moment the store is only shipping to the US, but word on the street is that international (re-)expansion is on the way.
