NYFW recap: Jeremy Scott Spring 2015 RTW x melissa

Plastic is fantastic.
Jeremy Scott at NYFW was all kinds of kitschy fun. His Spring 2015 RTW collection was inspired by the boys and girls who frequented clubs in New York’s Lower East Side in the ’80s. Jeremy also cites John Waters and Russ Meyer films as inspiration, as well as the ’50s and ’60s.
Think pastel colours, tessellated patterns, pop art faces, polka dots and scribble prints.
Gigi Hadid led the pack and the models wore bouffant wigs. Fab. The show also unveiled Jeremy Scott’s collaboration with melissa shoes. The collection features an ankle boot and a mule in a range of bright colours. It will launch in Australia mid-2016.
