Nineties crop tops, but make them goth.
Earlier this week, Australian-born designer Dion Lee unveiled his label’s latest collection at NYFW.
Playing with a fusion of deep inky tones and bright sunburnt oranges, the Fall 20 collection is ’90s grunge meets fine tailoring. A blend of typically masculine and feminine elements also gives the clothes a unique androgynous vibe.
Inspired by Lee’s personal jewellery, the range boasts various laser cutouts and intricate detailing. Trousers take on a slouchy form with waistbands resting on the hips and low slung crotches. Meanwhile, the tops are form-fitting, exposing skin in sections as an ode to the collection’s ’90s inspiration.
Introducing new colourways and cutouts to classic Dion Lee silhouettes provides a welcome, darker twist for the well-loved brand.
