Quentin Tarantino has announced that he will retire after completing his 10th film. THIS IS CRAZY NEWS.
“I don’t believe you should stay onstage until people are begging you to get off,” he says. “I like the idea of leaving them wanting a bit more.”
If we’re counting correctly, this means that his upcoming films, The Hateful Eight, and Kill Bill: Vol. 3 are the last ones we can expect from the filmmaker.
Tarantino seriously rocked the film industry with his genre-bending flicks that aestheticized violence into theatrical cult classics. We’re hoping that this announcement will be revoked after a John Farnham-type-comeback, but Tarantino is much too reliable for that.
For now, we’re vibin’ on our favourite looks from Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and 2, Death Proof/Grindhouse, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.
