VAMFF Runway Two: Presented by Frankie

Time to go shopping.

Frankie Magazines in hand, Melbourne’s fashion-fresh crowd graced the Central Pier Runway for the second VAMFF Premium Runway event, showcasing some of our best and brightest brands. The night was all about the ladies, with girl fronted group ‘The Pink Tiles’ setting the scene with their punchy bubblegum pop tunes.

The line-up, which consisted of Bul, Kloke, Gorman, Limedrop, Alpha60 and Kuwaii, made for a very Melbourne-esk catwalk featuring sleek and simple layering that contrasted the shining gold backdrop.

Styling was perfect, with light pink shimmer adorning the eyes and cheeks of the models. Accent braiding in their hair pulled the soft glowing look together, with each beauty looking somewhat fairy like. Common elements amongst all the labels included knits, hats and loose square shaping. Colour pallets of greys, pale blues, coral pinks and black were a consistency throughout.

Kuwaii opened the show, their latest collection featuring bold electric blues, cork wedges and thick woollen high neck sweaters.

Alpha60 has kept to current trends, featuring stripped baby doll garments with killer accessories including cut out swinging handbags and thick square platform shoes.

Kloke bought us more masculine styling, with browns and blacks in lose fitting shapes. The line was casual and comfortable and included staples for any winter wardrobe.

búl showcased their latest AW15 collection, with standout pieces in deep magenta and turquoise green.

Limedrop provided a change of pace with blue-grey floral pieces featuring in theiw AW15 collection. Model/goddess Samantha Harris rocked a lovely navy number with sheer ruffling, which made for a standout.

The night closed with queens of confidence Gorman showcasing their latest collaboration with Miranda Skoczek for their AW15 range. The unreleased line featured their expected heavy use of killer patterns.
